Red Album was the first Baroness record I got into and it's by far my favorite still today. Saw 'em touring behind it with Genghis Tron and they fucking killed it live!

Blue Album was okay but showed signs of what came later on Green/Yellow which was super boring/borderline unlistenable for me, sadly. I recently went back to it thinking I wasn't in the right headspace when it was first released and confirmed that I hate that record, just can't get into Green or Yellow...

This is exactly how I feel. I respect that that is the direction they wanted to take their music but I can't consider myself a fan.

I still insist that going double album was a mistake, it could've been at least quite decent as a single disc

Listened to bits of Blue and Red. I remember it sounding vaguely like the Evan Williams/bottom shelf brand of Mastodon and Isis.

Gonna see them when they play the blacksheep in August. Girlfriend is kind of a fan (me I like blue and red but green/yellow was a bit disappointing), and I'm dragging her to not only Melvins and Torche, but whatever awesome other band I can drag her to as well. She'll like Baroness.

I really dug the Green/Yellow for some reason. Now, given, it took awhile. It just kinda clicked that I thought it was rad after like ten tries.

*shrugs*

hate to be that guy but i couldn't mesh with much after second although i dug what i red a bit.

the latest record was mega bland bar rock replete with sappy acoustic ballads.
