It's a Giant commuter bike... cost me a little over $650 with a helmet, LED light, kickstand, fenders, basket rack thing, and some other shit thrown in. I like it a lot. I was surprised at how easily I could just get on it and ride to work everyday after not having rode/ridden/rided a bike for like 15 years. Feels good and the ladies dig it.

Welp. I had mine for about 4. Popped into my friends' house to let them know I was ready to go to lunch. During the month I had it, I would park my bike in various bike spots, and there are a few seemingly-abandoned ones here and there. One right where I work. It's sat there for three weeks... I don't want to be an asshole, but I'm just wondering what some of you think about "liberation".

hint: it is locked onto a concrete column by a chain.
i always lock any bike to something. even for 30 sec. in the house.
i got two bicycles stolen, one out of my cellar in munich and the other right before the house (only locked - not onto sth.)

Well dude it's not like I didn't have a lock! In fact, it was attached to the back of the little rack thing so I could lock it up when it was time to go... but less than TWO MINUTES?

My bike was chained up like crazy when it got stolen. Through the frame, through the wheels, etc. A thick as hell chain too. It honestly hardly makes a difference.
