The reaper is most like a mk3; but it's got a bit of the hard edge silicon sound going on.
I dig the way the tone control works on that one.

I've asked before but never got as much info as I'd hoped. Is there a good resource for the differences between original Tonebender versions?

But if you like the tone reaper you won't go wrong with any of the ghost MKIs. For sure.
Did you try the tone reaper in front of the dirt transmitter?

I'm sure you've seen it already, but Mr. Main is pretty much THE authority on these things (heck he now works for Sola making their reissue benders)
http://www.stompboxes.co.uk/History.htmlHe skips over the III/IV...a slightly more complex circuit with a tone control...more gain, not as wild...it leans more towards distortion (but is still a fuzz).
If you've got any specific questions try em here...this is the temple of fuzz after all

Not yet...Thursday will bring some serious jams, will definitely try the
Dirt Reaper.
Cranked the Tone Reaper solo for a bit thru the V4B today tho....

Edit: TR into DT was the
thickness. Great, great combo.
I still haven't bonded with the DT alone as much as I'd hoped; the low bias tones just don't work great with my rig. Dirt Reaper kills...but the TR on it's own still just brings the hea
viez for me.
Monarch and Black Forest will be up next to try in the mix w/the Reaper.
