The deluxe memory boy has so many cool things about it, but I would try a unit before buying one. Even with all the cool stuff it can do (and the regular memory boy for that matter), I just found the repeats on both of them just sounded too grainy. But not in a good way.
But you know, different strokes. & different calibration settings because EHX isn't the most consistent company in the world

what's the difference between the Deluxe Memory Boy with tap tempo and the Deluxe memory man? it seems like the DMB is better and a little less than half the price of the man?

DMM uses the out-of-production MN3005 chip I think?
Edit: Yes, it does. DMM w/ tap tempo apparently runs on 9v unlike the XO and big box models (24v). Anyone know about that?
Also, I love the DMM but hated the (regular) Memory Boy. Repeats are waaay too dark and distorted. DMM is probably my favorite delay sound. I've been debating between that and a Disaster Transport for a while.

http://guyatone.com/Mdm5.phpAwesome digital delay. Sounds like a digital delay should, up to 2600 ms delay, plus you can roll of the treble of the repeats for darking sounding delay. And it's small. I'm really partial to good digital delay, and I'm kinda sick of all of these PT80 and PT2399 delays - even if they are cool they get samey after a while cos of the limitations of the chip.

I got rid of my old big-box DMM for a Disaster Transport jr and I don't regret a thing. I do miss the modulation, and the DMM does have a really nice character all of its own, but for me that just isn't worth the insane size of the pedal, or using its own power cord. The Disaster Transport does a different thing with more of a tape vibe (I 100% prefer it to the copicat I had), the mix control is MUCH better (I HATE the ehx delay mix knobs where you lose dry volume turning the delay up

), and it does near infinite repeats, and has a cool tone control.

Quality of the repeats, most likely.

I still feel the Skreddy Echo is the best delay I've ever come across, including the TimeLine and other mammoth delays. I also like the Tortuga Effects Rain Delay as an undergod and the Boss DM-2.

Echolution! Wooo!
Also really like the Digitech PDS line. There's a neat degradation to the repeats and the loop is sweet for teh noyz.

My Echolution is broken and Dave has stopped responding to my emails.

I think I just have to send it back and pay for a repair (it's second-hand).
