after an hour I still haven't nailed it,
need something to keep a steady pitch going because the guitar signal fades out before it comes up to pitch completely and the volume gets lost

Maybe if I put my time bender at the beginning of my chain and freeze the delayed signal and then ramp it up in volume??????

Also, having a very hard time explaining to my wife why this was important

Closest I can think of in one unit would be a modern guitar synth - GR-55 *might* be able to pull it off with 2 synth voices with independent options, two effects chains, blendable regular guitar and a modelled instrument, any of which can be put in alternate tunings or shifted.
