STUPID QUESTIONS STUPID ANSWERS THREAD AMIRIGHT??!?

...... until i was 16 or so i thought a Reach-a-Round was when you were giving a hug to somebody and you snuck a hand down and pinched the other person's butt.

i was a horribly introverted, innocent little CHILD as a youngin.

Yeah it pretty much it, just handles higher frequencies

A presence knob controls the amount of treble in your signal so if the treble is all the way up but the presence is all the way down there will be "no" treble the more you turn up the presence knob the more of that trouble affects your guitar signal. And also upper fragile harmonics.

If it's an older PH-2 it is designed to be used with an (old) Boss ACA adapter. These put out 12 volts and were unregulated, which means that the actual voltage delivered by the adapter varied with the amount of current the pedal drew. There was some stuff in the pedal which stepped down the delivered voltage to 9 volts. So if you power your PH-2 with any sort of power supply that delivers 9 volts, it will be getting less voltage than it needs, because of the internal circuitry. Run it from the 12 volt output on your iso 5 and it will work perfectly.

The one spot delivers 9 volts, but the common ground in it bypasses the voltage limiting stuff in the PH-2 which makes it ok to feed it 9 volts.

I found all this out when I thought a Boss CE-2B and tried to get the bastard to work with a whole bunch of different power supplies.

Hyup, had a DM-2, and it worked fine with my onespot, and then I went online and got all warned about it needing some other supply and I was all :idk:

Really stupid question..,, what does "getting your guitar/bass set up" mean? I know it has something to do with tuning/ string height etc. But yeah... I have no idea what it actually is.

Set up means adjusting intonation, string height, truss rod, etc. Basically doing all the little things to make the guitar/bass play as well as possible.
