i'm exactly the same way, which is why i have only one maple-boarded Strat. i'm already so trebly that i've had to take remedial measures in recent years by changing my amp settings, using lighter picks, etc., and so i specced the two parts Fenders i built with rosewood boards. me + a maple-neck Tele = look out for your spectacles, ladies!

ha! Yeah, I kind of figured there was a thread somewhere......

I couldn't find one of these guitars in a nearby store, so I thought I would ask here. Not sure on the maple neck, myself. I usually play Ebony or rosewood....
