How loud were they live? A mate of mine did sound for them in Dublin last time they played and he said it kinda ruined the show for him, apparently they play at volume that fucking hurt.

Amen. I saw Avondon's band last week. I wore 15db reduction earplugs, and my head was still ringing after the show. It was awesome.

lol. yeah. i carry a pair of 23ish db reduction semi-nice ones on my key chain and a backup pair of cheapie throwaways in the grenade shaped carry pouch attached to my key chain for buds at shows.

good thing hearing aids exist. if a band is exceptionally loud i want to hear it alllll the waaaayyy.

i actually like this. i'm super sensitive to noises so i always anally protect my ears by.... shoving.... anuses in there. that analogy or description fell completely off the tracks. whatevah. but i like a man that sticks to his convictions.
