some info about the revised spectre
MONOLITH wrote:As far as the revisions I've made so far, there will be four knobs on the case: Fuzz, Output, Color and High Cut.
The COLOR pot will replace the two way tone switch of the old version. You can still get the old timbres, but by turning counterclockwise a deeper fuzz is available. ( Though it retains its prominent midrange voice.)
I will either remove , preset or incorporate as a variable trimpot the Pre-Fuzz pot of the old version, as it's effect is very subtle and can simply be set to where you think it sounds best....
I may also include a STARVE trimpot on the board which allows you to simulate a dying battery, as the Spectre sounds warmer this way... Though you sacrifice a touch of output. Great for those who have bright amps or use the Spectre as a rhythm pedal or don't need much boost.
Hope this helps.... Feel free to pass the info along if you like

Another update from the DAM forum:
"I've been able to keep up on emails pretty easily, so feel free to email me directly at
monolithfuzz@gmail.com if you have questions, comments, or just want to talk fuzz.
Oh, and all pedals (for the time being at least) will be in "manageable" size enclosures. Who knows what the future holds, but I am enjoying working with good qulaity PCBs right now...
I'm wrapping up the first batch of Dark Horses (#001-007) and the small initial batch of Grey Owls (#001-003) in the next few days (waiting on one component for the Grey Owls....&*%$ UPS) and then they will be homeward bound. "
He's also looking to trade wares for a snazzy website...so if you are a web nerd maybe contact him
