Buuuuuuuuut, maybe a MKIII would be cool for your uses? Or, have you looked into the meathead? Pretty sick, rather dark, also could get a dark meathead.

When I had a Shoe Gazer, I recall the SM being pretty dark, but the TP being SO BRIGHT AND HARSH. Maybe just get a SM? Or, try a Big Muff of the russian persuasion? Lots of folks really love those.
What fuzz pedals have you tried?

What fuzz pedals have you tried?
Boss FZ-5, T-Rex TB Fuzz, and MXR M-173 are ones I have played with. It was what they had at Guitar Center. Im thinking the Fuzzhugger is what is right for me.

dont mind fuzz just a lot of fuzz pedals dont seem to be dark and drone-like enough. Im using the fuzz effect for three songs and it needs to be just pure vile fuzziness. But yeah Im leaning towards the AB-Synth my friend. Hell neitehr the Shoe Gazer or AB-Synth are crazy expensive so I will probably just buy both, just to be absurd. Thanks for the tip on the Fuzz Gun btw, you make a valid point.

if you want dark and huge, EQD has a new batch of Sound Shanks (their delightful take on the Burns Buzzaround). move quickly: there's ten of them.
