The DMM you linked is commonly referred to as the "XO".
They still use the good ol' japanese panasonic MN30XX chips that everybody flips out over.
The XO actually uses a quad of MN3008's. The originals used a duo of MN3005's, though EHX seemed to randomly toss in batches of MN3008's into the mix (there are plenty of "big box" DMM's floating about in the 3008 configuration)
There is some debate on the matter, but I write it off to people who listen with their eyes.
IF properly tuned, the 08's should sound just like the 05's, no reason for them not to.
Same manufacturer/quality, just one has a slightly shorter delay time and requires a bit of extra work because you have 2 extra chips to set up.
