i think decay is part of a jangly sound. i don't think mcguinn's built-in compressor jangled as much as sustained-it just gave a different flavor. i would think a graphic or parametric equalizer would contribute more to jangle than a compressor or overdrive.

Also, Janglebox 2 is awesome (though unfortunately gigantic). Janglebox 1 didn't do it for me.
