Has anyone tried the germy double muff od, or whatever its called? It looks cool but it seems like nobody has actually tried one.

Its not very fuzzy, its an od and distortion, and the two together are hardly muff like

EHX has a terrible habit of putting the Muff branding on things that aren't really fuzz circuits. Like the Metal Muff. Or the English Muff'n. Or this.

I mean, it sounds good, but it isn't by any stretch of the imagination mufflike.

It depends on what you want, really.

Changing the diodes from Schottky to silicon or LED (LEds will be louder but less fuzzy).

If you wanna make it less dark, mod the tone stack and/or change the caps to .1uF. Changing the diodes will make it less dark, too.

To make it less scooped, do some tweaks to the tone stack. There's lots of info about that around.

Overall, I just think the NYC is a bit dark and too scooped. :idk:

Fun fact: The Supercollider is essentially a modded NYC Big Muff.
