Mann, I used to own a Digidelay, but after getting a DE-7 I could hardly use it. There was just something... less awesome about the repeats. And then there's the echo mode on the DE-7, that'll oscillate and generally be awesome.

That said, the Digidelay does have a lot of really cool features for its price, where the DE-7 is really simple. Reverse delay and such...

Imma have to go ahead and say you should get both. : p

yes they are so cheap just get 2 of each.

the most disappointing thing on the digidelay actually is that when you crank the delay time knob its not smooth pitch warping except in the 'tape mode'. Since the tape mode only has about 1 second of delay time you cant do really warpy sounds on the full 4 seconds of delay.I think thats the biggest oversight in the design. I used to have a dd-3 and it was better in that sense but the delay time is much shorter. ( i think .8 seconds ?)

I like my Behringer EM600 enough that if I wanted something more reliable, I'd get an Echo Park. (Great price: http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Store-Us ... 2338381.gc
That said, I've never heard anyone say anything bad about the DE-7

DOD Digital Delay. I got mine for like...$25...

Srs. Its got an infinite repeat mode and then you can change the delay time and amount and make it all pitch shifty.

It's an awesome delay. Putting the trimpots on the outside also yields a lot of fun results

Just chiming in about the DE-7, it's awesome. Shorter repeats can sound metallic though, and it oscillates super easily (found that out right away in the pawnshop). Get one, you can't regret these things.

I know it really doesn't fit the OP's criteria because it's over $80, but I'm curious why nobody's mentioned the TC Electronic Flashback?

Does anybody have any opinion about it?

I've got two other toneprint pedals and think they're a good bang for the buck.

I'd also say the guyatone MD3. Small footprint, analog soundin, and self oscillates like a mothafuck...

Agreed. Find a used one on eBay if the new price is too high.

I was going to recommend this one. Good, clean sound, and you can crank the repeat for some fun feedback madness.

i'm a lazy fucker. literally. i don't want sex unless 78% of it is me being immobile and the other person doing all the work.

so i didn't read the whole thread. any Flashback love? it's pretty fantastic and not that pricey. the DL-8 has some neat neat stuff too. but the implementation of the looper sucks donkey butt-hole. actually, it waits until the donkey's had a coffee enema and sucks THAT out of the donkey butt-hole.

in other words, i don't like it.
