Paul is a great singer, but let's be honest...ITS BRUCE FUCKING DICKENS he's being compared to. Its like comparing apples and a candy bar...if you choose the apple we aren't friends anymore.

Di'Anno had his great moments, and I LOVE the first two albums. At least he has released much less crap with Iron Maiden that Iron Maiden released without him. :p he's punxs compared to Bruce, but... unfortunately I can't say I'd enjoy him live today. Not really.

Who of You has seen Paul performances lately? :erm: He's new material sounds - what little I've heard - weak and uninteresting, and the performances of the old material are not that hot either.

Steve Harris is my biggest bass influence. I actually bought the Number of the Beast album the day it came out!
I still practice Maiden all the time. After playing some Steve Harris most everything else just seems easy!

 +1 except for the got it the day it came out. Although I did get a copy for my 6th birthday :erm:

I can't really vote, as I love all the albums up until 7th Son of a 7th son. The instrumentals on the first two albums are badass. And I fuckin' LOVE Powerslave, too. Flash of the Blade is my favorite tune from that album, if for no other reason than the Bill and Tedcellent dual guitar dickery in the midsection of the song

the way that was worded, you'd think that I favor Bruce, but not really. In Charlotte the Harlot, Paully D. sings his ass off...

I play bass because of "The Trooper", no doubt. When I was 12 that shit blew my head up. Finally saw them two years ago at PNC Arts Center in NJ. Drove all the way from Charlotte NC back home to Jersey to catch it. A torrential storm destroyed my, my sister's, brother-in-law's, and my wife's cell phones but SO WORTH IT.
