When I had the USA probe I felt like I was sitting on a gold mine and traded it for some awesome swag...
but the vexter fuzz probe is only $219 new

zvex's made-in-china-without-the-ridiculous-hand-painted-crappy-graphic-for-half-the-price range.

They look better than the full-price models... :erm: I keep thinking about getting one of those, the prices are shockingly reasonable and fuzz factories look pretty fun.

I sometimes miss my vexter fuzz factory, but never enough to get enough to get another one. The wolf computer pretty much permanently kicked it off my board. Fuzz probe looks interesting, though. What does the "probe" part adjust?

I'm exactly the same, it was fun but it was also a pain in the ass and not completely useable.

The probe adjusts the stability I beleive off the top of my head.

Correct. Stab knob. It'll fluctuate between the point you have it and full cw. It's awesome. Traded mine for the Exploding Head Pox and don't regret it one bit, but do need again!

What can I expect from the FF. I have an Algal Bloom and Hoof that I love. Just wondering if FF would give some different fuzz.

I was surprised when I picked up a Fuzz Factory for cheap and plugged it in, I actually liked it. If I did more recording, it'd be nice to have around but I didn't have application for it at the time. I liked the versatility and that all the knobs were useful, it also got some killer feedback when not on a glitchy setting.

I kind of want a Box of Rock and Fuzz Factory now just to have on the side. As much as Zvex himself bugs me the Vexter series are sexy looking pedals, SO SHINY.

It can be pushed into muffish territory, but it's got a lot of settings that are more bright and trashy. Notably you can also coax fuzz face tones out of it.

I find that it doesn't stack well. Basically any drive pedal after it in the chain ends up sounding like a louder fuzz factory.

I stack it with a baby thunda and a tonefactor huckleberry fuzz at the moment. It sounds fucking sick. Try turning the volume down on the factory a little and up on the others just a bit. It sounds thick as hell.
