The finish on that Mocking bird is so sweet looking but is hard to photograph and always looks smudged in pictures. It is Black, but the grain is visible and is grey but also purple when the light hits it right. It is pretty classy not cheesy looking.

I'm mainly a bassist that dabbles in guitar so I post frequently in the Show Your Guitars thread with Gitfiddle and Bassfiddle spam,...but here is my bass.

It's pretty decent, but I'd really like to get a nicer bass sometime.

How does that thing sound? i want one of those, or the Blacktop Precision. I assume they have the same pickups.

My main bass for almost ten years was this Carvin LB75:

Then last summer, I moved on to a G&L L-2500.

Fukken love my Hondo. Mudfuzz saved my ass with that super sweet n...ol....uh, NOS neck :!!!:
It "needs" a shielding job but meh feedback is cool so whatever...
It's since been equipped with 3 on/off switches, still a single volume.

Used to be a Fender Jaguar Bass, stripped and began refinishing a few days after I found out they were discontinued. They've been reintroduced since, though.
Anyway, I got the inspiration after seeing Thurston Moore's green Jazzmaster.
Dimarzio Model Js + Rickenbacker HB1, roller knobs control your unicorn-to-horses and missile punch-to-rocket punch ratios. The other switch is series/parallel for the HB1.

I don't have the funds right now, but when I do there's a plan...something wicked this way comes...

Had almost forgotten about this awesomeness. You need to repost this every so often.

Next time you have it opened up or whatnot, could you be really really nice and measure the DCR of each pickup? This will greatly help my eventual decision to buy one.

I believe that I've said it before, but I'll say it again - if you EVER want to get rid of that Jagstein beauty, contact me before ANYBODY else and we'll work something out, man. That right there is one of my dream machines. So. Effing. Hawt.

I'll have to get some new pics of my bazz up in this jazz...
