really? cause i got one from the salvation army thrift store for $15, and it happened to have an entire 1913 singer sewing machine attached to it!
still, though, the other night i tried fooling around , experimenting with it, to use it as a sort of "expression" pedal for something else, and it didn't work so good. apparently the variable resistance coils in them just aren't quite suited to our needs. something about the difference between AC and DC. I have ideas for building my own foot treadle but its a bit more labor intensive/problematic than i really wanna deal with. If only hammond or someone would come out with a generic foot treadle enclosure. Whoever did that would make tons of $$$ i suspect.
