Fucking hated 'In Reverie' by Saves the Day when it first came out, then I got high and was like "WHO ARE THESE MAGICAL WIZARDS OF SONGWRITING".
Seeing Explosions in the Sky live while high as fuuuuuck was pretty much the greatest thing ever. One of those "they were already awesome but hearing/seeing them while high made it that much more amazing and intense" situations.

Rewind back to the late 90s when The Flaming Lips were still a fuzzed out noisy rock band. A buddy gave me a couple CDs, and I didn't get it at first. Then I lit one up, put on the headphones, and had my mind blown. Wow.
