It's looking like a non pro and a 12LFA or two 12LFAs and saving about a 100 euro over the pros and that's money I can't really justify spending. The 12LFAs do 44Hz-3kHz compared to 50Hz-5kHz for the pros and 54Hz-5kHz for the 12A. Vents will defo happen either way. Already have the 15 cab with an Omega Pro 15 in it and don't really miss the lack of highs...

The Black Widow cab is great but has zero bass response.

Gotcha from what i understand speakers over in Europe vary alot in pricing and availability and 100 euros can def make or break a choice.

Black Widow with no low end response We've got an 18 inch cab at the studio with a black widow and that thing is nutz, the cab makes a big difference with them.

Hmm I thinking getting closer to what I need...so what kind of speak configuration should I go for. I'm not gonna be playing gigs or anything but want to get a good solid sound at home.

AS in you play bass through it and the A and E strings don't even sound so I don't think a different cab would make any difference. Having played through Black Widow loaded 2x15s I was hoping for some of the Black Widow bass magic when I bought the combo but I guess not all Black Widows are the same. The amp itself is good for bass which is the important think right now.

Ok so what if I got a pair of the eminence delta pro-12a and replaced the speakers in the twin for those? Then make the twin a 3/4 closed back. At that point I could take my mesa 3/4 closed back cab that has one 12" speaker in it and retro fit a 15". Would these partial closed back cabs carry enough bass for me? I guess it would be easy enough to full close the mesa if I had to.

I'm not sure what the twin sounds like for bass but it's got quite a shallow cab iirc so dunno how it will work out with the back closed off. Presume you've played bass through the twin as is yeah? Is there anywhere you could try a closed back and/or semi closed back 2x12 with it, like disconnect the internal speakers and just use the external cab?

I think you would be fine with the open backs, my ported 2x12 with the dp12a's puts out tons more low end then my closed back 4x12 with swamp thangs. And 15's from what i've found like being ported or open backed to really get the low end moving with out cany cancellation.

So you are saying that just upgrading the speakers on the twin should get me there. That would be my first step, new speakers don't cost too much so that would be my first step.
