More amps is always a good idea :thumb:

the amps arent the issue, its the room.. might sell my twin and get one.

Keep in mind there are lots of bassmen models out there, the one in the OP is actually a rather rare amp, they only made them for like 1-2 years.

One more question,
Would my dick get smashed if I brought this amp (for bass), and the guitarist was using a Deluxe Reverb?

hmmmm if he cranks the fucker... yeah. The baseman 20 is only 18 watts and a 18 watt bass amp against a 65 watt guitar amp... not good. I use mine for recording for the most part [it really is my pedal trial amp, pedals sound great though it] and have just grabbed it a few time last minute.

I think you're thinking of the Pro Reverb...Deluxe Reverb is 22 watts, yeah? Reason I ask is the last set up I was running was a git through a Ampeg J20 (20 watts - 2 6v6s) and I felt like that was a good volume. Trying to get something for bass that is relatively compact, and would do that amount of volume.

Doesn't Aen (or maybe this is past tense now) use a Twin Reverb for bass?

that's what i've seen in videos, but now he's going to achieve hipster status because he was using a twin reverb for bass before it was cool

I think you're right Fuzzy Fred, because that's pretty bad ass.

I've looked a little at the Bassman 20 as a DIY template for a little head. It's pretty much along classic blackface/silverface lines circuit wise. Surprising thing is that the power transformer doesn't do the typical bass amp trick of having extra current capacity so I would expect some squish in high volume playing and the output transformer is the same little one in the SuperChamp so expect it to saturate fairly easily with loose-ish bass response. Whether this is good or bad is probably a matter of opinion. Adds up to cheap transformers to do a build, though.
