There was no mention of tonal difference, you said it was fake?

No explanation... Mojo? Higher Voltages & Less Clipping? The fact the chips are and were more expensive? The fact that 320X series chips are still in production while 300X aren't so are rarer?

What about when the DM-2 changed from 3005 to 3205? Did people stop buying them? I bet untill the internet when people started DIYing and selling on ebay and people realised they could get more money if they had the 'special chip' no one gave two shits.

And you've just said you'd like a 320X pedal! There's clearly nothing wrong with them so why is it fake or doesn't sound as good?

Ok well im not bashing it. I just think that there are a lot of people chasing the moog, diamond, suhr for some kind of vintage mojo. I have heard them all and i think there is a reason for the premium price. I still dont think a moog is worth $1000. But i also dont think the mxr cc is a replacement for the vintage spec units.

You could always find an Arion SAD 1, they've the MN3205 and go for pretty cheap. Just got offered one for 46 euro but said my max for the condition it is in was 40.

Also whether they have "vintage mojo" does not make them analogue or digital. For example the echo base is Pt2399 based but imo has that lush analogue delay mojo. I do like the Carbon copy and was saving for one til I myself got a few echo base pcbs.

You should build yourself an echo base, the oscillations are great.

I really should. I'm not quite sure why I keep putting that one off. Maybe that will be the next project!

Do it, it's actually easier than it looks too.
