the internet is already stab proof, no harm done. also, rehousing sucks donkey dick. I charge about $100 or $120 in parts and labor when I do this kind of work. most people realize it is not cost effective to pay someone to rehouse cheap pedals. the behringer UV300 is way more difficult than you might expect, both in dissassembly and sourcing the hard to find pot values. I always quote that job @ $120 parts and labor but most people don't buy. I did it for heavy_soul for $120 including the UV300 that I bought. it was not enough for my time. there are two or three SMD things to be soldered. the board needs to be cut down to a smaller size. components need to be carefully cut and removed with special tools. although I can totally understand the frustration of touring with a plastic pedal. sometimes an expensive pedal just does not have that wacky cheap sound. definitely worth every penny to have a stack of $20 dano and behringer pedals in the studio. mostly just vibrato, chorus, delay, flange, phasor, slow gear.

Yeah, it's rarely worth it money-wise. I've rehoused a couple Dano Cool Cat Vibes for people and have had to charge about the same, $120ish for the parts and time. Ordering the one-off parts makes it a bit more expensive than ordering bulk parts for a stock pedal. And disassembling, like you say, is time consuming meticulous work. If you love the sound of a cheaply housed pedal, get more. Or hide them from the main board and use bypass stomp-switches to activate them.

Ok, got ya. Thanks for your info. It's nice to hear a builders point of view. I took both of the pedals apart yesterday and am going to rehouse them into a metal lunch box I found at the thrift store myself. I'll post some pictures of it once I finish. I can tell you one thing. It's not going to be clean looking by any means. I plan to use it as a table top effects unit for noise sets.

Ive built some dual trems for fellow I love fuzzers. I can de rehousing work too if needed.
