Action Music out in Virginia has some nice stuff, including Montgomery Appliances. I think Ludlow Guitars in NYC is just about perfect. I imagine visiting Pro Guitar Shop in person would be a blast.

Dude me and fuzz_pi hit up ludlow all the time, its so great! You can actually try out pedals there, and when you walk out of the amp room, they're not rubbing their fingers together like a damn bell boy.

Somewhere that actively monitors what I'm GASing over each month and adjusts stock accordingly.
Realistically, somewhere that's more into stocking crazy sound-effect pedals and all sorts of messed up fuzz rather than 14 different 'starter' overdrive pedals and zoom multi-effects.

Yeah...I have one local shop that's worth going to, its a half hour away, and Ehx is about a boutique as they get.
Technically there are two other music stores in my town, but the one doesn't carry ANY pedals and the only guitar line they rep is Washburn. The other local shop caters to guitarists/drummers, but they are so damn small all they have is couple of danelectro pedals, one visual sound jekyll and Hyde OD that's been behind the glass for at least a decade...I think thy might have some boss pedals too...so that's why I drive half an hour to the other place that is still quite mediocre.
My dream shop would be the ilf bst thread but in a physical store. If I had to pick one line though, I would love to see EQD in a local shop, especially here in OH.

Dwarfcraft and SS/BS are the ones that I've owned that strike me as most necessary to demo in person. The clips online don't really give you a sense of how they really feel.

Vintage & Rare Guitars in London always used to stock loads of boutique/unusual stuff in-store but the guy who ran the pedal side of the shop went solo and only sells online now (Joe's Pedals - the only comprehensive range of the sorts of pedals we like here I've ever seen in the UK)
I'd like to see EQD around more because there's so many of their pedals I'd like to try, and Dwarfcraft/Devi/DBA so the more petty among us can go and drown out Strat-wielding blues noodlers or bedroom shredders with walls of glitchy fuzz noise...

That's the spirit! You Brits really ought to represent your fuzzy/noisy heritage more strongly.

Yeah, there's plenty of little UK operations making fairly conventional fuzz pedals but it's almost as if the Mary Chain/MBV etc. didn't happen sometimes...

Action Music is pretty wicked, theyve always got really good used stuff and the guys who work there are awesome. But they don't really cater to the "experimental" crowd, they def have a more Lawyer Blues vibe going on. They always change their stock though and their pedal and amp selection is the best in the area. We need to convince them to carry some ILF builders though.... and I really want that Hiwatt 200 they have/had there...
