Klon, King of Tone, Timmy, Tim, Skreddy, Toneczar, Sunface with Red Dot NKT275 transistors, Ethos, Clay Jones etc, etc, etc.....these are all names and pedals with staying power.....though there will be flavors of the month like Tone Monk or Freekish Blues (which had a particularly ugly downfall when it was learned that they pedals were simply relabeled Chinese made Joyo pedals).

Those solderless Lava Pedalboard kits are so BADASS though (tiny plugs, little waste, sound good)! Another TGP staple that actually lives up to the hype, imo.

If you liked your board before that response, you shouldn't change a single thing. What does it matter that a certain label can be slapped onto your board if you like it? I'm sure a lot of people can spot an ILF sort of board from a mile away, and I'm sure some people would make fun of them as we make fun of 'tgp boards'
Do I see why someone would call it a tgp board? Yes.
Do I agree? In a sense, yes.
Should you care what I or anyone elsethinks? No.
I learned this after three months of trying to convince a metalhead in my school how horrible his setup is (a bc rich into a boss heavy metal into a roland cube amp). Truth is, he's a lucky bastard for being satisified with such an inexpensive, shit setup.

Also, I bet a lot of boards I'd label as tgp boards would actually sound great and have cool pedals on them, it's just having the stereotypical set of 'tgp pedals' which makes it funny. I don't think anyone is really saying these boards are BAD.

please don't get me wrong on any of this. i love the gear I've got and i know the original comment was made in jest. tom dalton was gonna build me a fuzzhugger overdrive in a Laura Bennett enclosure a month or so ago but i had to pull the plug as i had a more urgent need for the money. hence the space on the board.
I had been thinking after pulling the plug i wouldn't mind a second hand delay of some sort but after looking on YouTube for a couple of hours the only one i could find that i liked was the el capistan but even second hand there crazy money. hence why i asked for recommendations.
And yes i am gonna fucking put a delay after my fucking fuzz!!

I've waited for my el cap for a long time, should finally have one in my possesion tomorrow. I see it as one of those pedals that lives up to the hype, but sometimes not the price tag. They sell on ebay for 25$ over the actual cost, which is nothing compared to time line prices..... (there's 10+ on ebay right now from 550$ to 800$ when they cost 450$ brand new)

There are plenty of other options at a much better price tag. The MXR carbon copy get's alot of praise everywhere, the vfe blueprint is pretty sick for its modulation, and honestly i really love the boss DD series (my dd-5 will never leave my possesion willfully). And putting delay after your dirt..... pssh your such a close minded follower you should be on TGP J/K

I didn't realize they went for so much. I've got one right now.....maybe I should sell it....its good....but not worth more than what I paid for it.
