This thread has so much cool music!

My band's drummer generally goes kick, snare, floor tom, and eighty million cymbals, but we're trying to talk him into ditching the cymbals. Apparently that's what Peter Gabriel did on some of his solo albums, he took all his drummers cymbals.
I don't like cymbals, come at me.

to your examples. I mean, okay, heavier is subjective, sure. And the first one at least sounded like Touche Amore covering Botch (well, until the ending) and had a "brutal" video. But, like, what is that last one? Whaaaazaaat?ashdown wrote:darthbatman wrote:Chumley wrote:I used to play with a drummer who'd use three toms, a kick, and a hi hat. Although I do agree with you, a lot really, I'm just gonna have to give a big olto your examples. I mean, okay, heavier is subjective, sure. I was just speaking in comparison to the OP bands, i.e. "heaviER." And, no, Showbread are not "heavy" but any stretch of imagination, they were just a band with a simple kit that I enjoy.
Also, brutality can suck it.![]()

P.S. The first one is my favorite band, The Chariot.

Thirded, we jammed like five times then he left for LA. I've been looking for a drummer who could do the same kinda thing since, but they're all jazz players and jazz players don't take me seriously.

I've seen their name around and they came up when my buddy was playing me some Defeater stuff. Checking them out now.
Pretty sweet.
