The best ODs I've used are my fuck overdrive and a Rat clone with the reutz mod and some diode switching options that I built.
But the fuck od sounds so good.. Everybody loves it when they hear it. It's one of those pedals that works as well with a band as it does in your bedroom

only OD i have is a Crowther hotcake clone, but i usually just crank the topboost on my vox...

Signa Drive maybe? Sometimes it's hard to beat a SHO into a hot amp though.

I really liked the Signa Drive I had, and they can be had cheap. I think I even saw a used Super Signa Drive (with footswitchable Boost channel) for $100 on TGP the other day. Not crazy about TS-style pedals in general, but this one was way ahead of the others. The only other cheap, TS like pedal I enjoyed was the MI Audio Blues Boy, and maybe the Way Huge Green Rhino.
I am currently hyped on the Spaceman Aphelion, but that does not meet the sub-$200 criterion.

This is true. Also, I just saw that you're in Orange County. Me too! I'm in Placentia, maybe we could get together and jam sometime.
