I am almost positive the dude in Grinderman runs his violin through an electro harmonix BMP too.
You should get something by Dwarfcraft, like a Thundaa or a Great Destroyer.

AB-Synth. Bit Mangler. The Great Destroyer. Nothing You'd expect, nothing like muff fuzz, instead plenty of gnarly fuzz and freaking cool stuff going on when ever a note dies!

My favourite fuzz I've played is The Demo Tape Fuzz. Not a Muff, but just blistering sheets of fuzz on tap.

Better late to the party than missing it altogether....Trying out a Big Muff is where it started for me too...and since then My relationship with Fuzz has been up and down....but it has always been there for me...Ah fuzz love
Okay you have to compensate...start off with some Fuzzhugger, something with crazy oscillation. Then get something a little more generalized like a Pharaoh. Then something you can experiment with a Team Awesome,
then get one of those crazy Dwarfcraft great destroyers, then get back to the muff sounds with a Box of War from Wren and Cuff or maybe a Grey Stache (never tried one myself, but I dig their style) from Fuzzrocious or even a Goose from Take flight.....
You are lucky go buy stuff like crazy....sell everything and buy fuzz so we can live vicariously throught you
