Oops, at a quick glance, I thought the pickups were P-90's , so my bad there. As for my statement of P-90's > single coils, I realize that P-90's are also single coil pickups, but you all knew what I was getting at (Hey, I'm a bass player, cut me some slack). I suppose I should have said P-90's > "the unmistakably Fender bright, clear tones of the alnico V single-coil pickups" for all of you nitpicky bitches . I totally agree w/Fuzzy Fred's PU assesment (though I didn't realize I preferred hairy balls over pussy ).

Thanks for y'alls thought and insight. Perspex is the rightest. The big difference is that the Jazzy kind of calls for intervention while the Duo can stay as is. I will go to that store next week and check if they have the Jazzy. If they do, I'll try it and decide then, if they don't I'll liberate the unloved Duo.
