Cool I'm not the only one that thinks the valvetronix things suck ass. I've only read good things about them up until now but I've never heard anything good come out of one.
I went to a little lockout studio where they had amps already there and they had a little solid state ac15. It actually sounded pretty fuckin good. Way better than anything I've heard out of the valvetronix amps.
And of course my ac30cc1 fuckin kills

i think that's the Valve Reactor series. i think it's a tube in either the preamp section or the power section. i probably would have bought one if i didn't get a real Ac15 for less than the price of a VR

its good to know from y'all that the VR can pretty much stand up to the normal toanz. seeing as thats basically my next purchase.

after some minor research, they use a 12ax7 in the power section. nothing beats vox chime IMO
