I kind of lost interest in video games a long time ago, but for me, it's all about the classics. I still have my SNES and NES (and Game Boy, for that matter), and pull them out every 5 or 6 years or so.
For Nintendo, SMB3 or Mega Man 2 are my favorites. Oh, and I can always play Contra, no matter how easy it is. I also liked Ninja Turtles II (the one that was in the arcades and then on NES).
For Game Boy, SMB Land 2 or Metroid II.
For SNES, SMB World and the original Street Fighter 2.
Live in the past much?

Anyone have any recommendations for some games to buy for the SNES?

I can understand why you would too.Current gen games are mostly just graphics and no fun game play or story, with some exceptions. The only reason I bought an Xbox 360 was to play with my friends, which I kinda regret getting because $400 is a lot of money that would have went towards guitar stuff that I actually need.

Nethack.
Search for it, you'll find it, it's freeware. If your imagination is intact it's the best (and hardest) RPG...
EVAH!!Been playing on and off for 15+ years and I have yet to find the Amulet of Yendor.
I double dare
you to check it, Scaredy Cat.
