Devi, I have nothing against you but your overly hostile response probably doesn't help.

I totally see what Ken is saying. No biggie. If he includes it on his site (I think Iron Ether also does not take returns..no big deal), then it's a non issue. Now everyone knows and will make for certain that they want what they are getting or buy from a dealer that takes returns. I know in the past I've bought things and thought "meh" and the dealer or builder was totally cool with returning it. Some people obviously aren't. That's business though.

Hey fuck you buddy.

Right back atcha. :thumb:

Edited for poorly chosen wording:

Sorry askthedust, that you were on the losing end of an information update, but worst comes to worst, I'm sure you can sell it on brother.

And some dealers, like Infanem, being relatively new to the game, cannot be expected to spend time building to the fleeting tastes of aficionados, just to have them sent back. The beginning years of a company are the crucial ones to their continuation.

If you read this as anything other than a pat on the shoulder, anyone, imagine it in a ridiculous American approximation of an Irish accent. That will ease the burden.

I don't see the big deal in a small builder not accepting returns. I consider Malekko, Catalinbread, and others mentioned in the OP to be rather larger builders with a big selection of pedals. Although the pedal was unopened and it could be easy to re-sell. It does suck, but I do understand a small builder not accepting returns.

EQD no do returns but their dealers do. Then again, it's explicitly stated on the site...

I think that if he had it on his site that he didn't accept returns, then there would have been no issue. Now that it's understood, like I said before, people will know and can choose where they purchase things. You guys act like it's a ridiculous request to want to return something. Tom at Fuzzhugger takes stuff back, Brian at Smallsound/Bigsound has taken stuff back. Those guys aren't huge operations either. If it's Ken's policy, then that's cool. The OP will be able to sell that baby I'm sure.

He'll be able to sell it for significantly less than he paid for it, sure. But that's something rather different, isn't it?

Jesus Christ we don't need shit like this.

If you have a problem with a builder take it up in a PM.

There are more important things to worry about like how I am going to taunt every University of Oregon fan that I know of and what shitty snack food I am going to have next.

Lock.

This.

Shit.

So we're all agreed that Portland is a shithole and the people are garbage?
