Considering jwar got rid of his Fuck for a McSpunx AA that might be worth trying, especially with the $50-60 B/S/T price tag. So you could get your Phantom Flower too.
That said, I love the Fuck, it kicked off the DLS for me to the point where I haven't even looked at the DLS since getting it. With your budget you might be able to swing one. As for US of A custom fucking, there are a few countries within the EU that go off declared value, where a value lower than $30 means no customs. A few of those have ILF members in them, so could be used to route a package.

DarkAxel wrote:Allright, guys... i'm in the process of selling my Fulldrive, so naturally i'm looking for something new
first thing i'd consider is a new drive pedal - probably low to medium gain, nice and spanky with a telecaster, good for boosting fuzz (Fix'd Fuzz all the way)...
my budget is probably around $200 tops included shipping and 20% customs when bought from america. B/S/T is not a preffered possibility (when it comes to our customs office, i'd be afraid of proving the value with screens from a forum

if anyone can weight in on this - please do)
first question: Has anyone had SCOD by Cbread? Can it do more transparent and juicy overdriven tones or is it just a full blast mofo? There's one near me for a reasonable price, but i wouldn't be using it for higain much, i prefer my Fix'f fuzz for that
second question: should i buy Phantom Flower instead?

i need an OD but...
I love

madly my Fuzzhugger Hugger as a clean booster for beating the crap out of fuzz. I¨ll second the And Aardvarks too, it is also a pretty damn hot little boost and drive on its own.
Also

have You tried any random 808 clone? Rangemaster clones? Bass/low end boosts? They can make a difference, if
You want to try out a different flavor.
AND the answer to the second question is YES. Who wouldn't need a glitchy crapped out fuzz like that? I'd love the Phantom Flower though most of my fuzz seems to be pretty much über glitch.
If You choose to put the money in a clean-ish boost however, consider trying out a ring mod in front of a starved fuzz + boost.

Whoa guys.. a lot of input!
i don't really have time to address you all, so just really fast:
Basus, i've had Jekyll&Hyde b Visual Sound (the older one) and i DON'T really like TSes
I'll think about that And Aardvarks then

and about that "Warranty repair" paypal trick, too!
PS: i'd really love to buy a Fuck, but it's too expensive

almost 200€

I know they don't look cool on the pedalzboard and are way un-pc but for in that once in a while time when I feel the need for OD I reach for the Danelectro.

um... i don't know

haven't had luck with them... they were either crappy sounding or crappy built... i'm currently trying to resist buying Reel Echo that popped up near me... might do it, it was the best i've tried from them

i'm more and more for the McSpunkle's box of Aardvarks... the only bummer is $30 shipping on ETSY but what can i do...
I really loved Fulldrive's sound, BUT there was just too little headroom for my mean pick attack. Plus i'd appreciate something more... interesting? hard to describe...
ps: i'm really thinking about buying Phantom Flower ASAP... but i probably won't do it

let's see after recieving my paycheck

I'd say save an extra few pennies towards it and run with a Fuck! The Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop is also quite interesting.
I've got a Tim inbound, January or so, for testing purposes, great value for something so lauded.
McSpunkle's bits and pieces have also peaked my interest, may well be worth looking into. Keep yer eyes peeled on the B/S/T as well, you may find something amazing in there, and the ILF crowd are fair as can be price wise.
Also: NOT THREAD HIJACKING, but a fair few of you (Gunner, DarkAxel etc.) are here from when I was wondering about Wah's. My Wilson Freaker arrived. I love it
hard. Thanks for the advice folks.

It would be majorly worth it to save up for a fuck or maybe inquire about the fabled minifuck (fuck with no blown out sound) for less cash?
The od part of the fuck is so exactly what you seem to be looking for.

Now about the Fairfield Barbershop... i have to say i've thought about it

it's 165€ in europe, so quiet expensive (actually over my budget, so i'd probably not buy the Phantom Flower...) but i'm not exactly sure "where to put it"... so i don't know if it's really what i'm looking for

I gravitate more towards the Fuck, but the price is just too much for me
i'll keep my eyes open for the BST and i might try the warranty repair trick... i know ILF people are amazing dealers, i've had some amazing deals
no problem with your threa hijacking but really - those thanks don't belong to me

Fairfield Barbershop, where to begin? It does a very fuzz, low gain vibe. Cranked up it sounds like Neil Youngs Bassman abou to explode, it also does a fabulous clean boost. It's not for evryone though, so warned.

So i just PM'd Bloo about his used And Aardvarks in B/S/T

it's just 50 bucks, so even with custom fees it's a good price! Keep your fingers crossed for me

Hope those customs nobs won't be mean to me... i'm actually pretty excited!
thanks for your input, y'all!

maybe i'll buy something recommended later

love you, ILF!
Bassboar: thanks for the info, i'm really not sure it's for me... i'd probably miss Tone knob or any EQ...

I just have to say, I keep reading this thread title as "Help me with choosing a new shirt," and was actually a little disappointed when I first clicked it and discovered that it was about overdrives. I wanted to pick out DarkAxel's wardrobe, goddammit!

heard of international transactions going best when you send the Paypal payment in two sums, one just to cover shipping, and the seller marks the item as "warranty repair - no charge", and then you print the Paypal receipt just for the shipping and voila - no customs charges. Or minimal ones anyway.
But I've only heard of that, I would never do something so nefarious. Never. Not once. Or twice.

ALSO,
Wiz swears by the Pork Loin because of its versatility. Apparently the thing will make your toast in the morning if you set it right.
I use a Timmy because it sounds perfect. I have a difficult time making it sound shitty to be completely honest. That and if it doesn't float your boat, you can sell it on eBay and make an extra $50 somethin bucks off it.

there's one near me but it's for a ridiculous price and it can't be negotiated because the seller is a dick and Way Huges are quite expensive here...
