That doesn't look like a jazz box you fog.
I guess it's kind of pretty in that non jazzbox way.

If I ever got a Gibson LP again it would be in that exact color.
They are so sweeeet looking.
I would have to put some nickel pickup covers on that puppy tho.

at first I wasn't digging it too much, loved the feel and acoustic sound of it, real resonant and all that other gay jank
but...
it's so damn bright into my twin
however little by little I'm starting to really really dig it

anyone have any suggestions for a real jazzy pickup?

Sweet Guitar!
Sweet Jazz Pickups! They're kind of expensive but so is your guitar.
They do knock off 20% if you don't live within the EU and you can sell the pickups you take out and recoup some of it.

What pickups came stock? I'm thinking it's a BurstBucker Pro (bridge) and 490? neck in the Studio Deluxe?? Roll those tone knobs back a bit maybe and re-EQ the Twin. The BurstBucker is one of the brighter pickups Gibson makes, not very warm sounding and coil-tapped can sound a little thin and brittle, definitely not throwing up the jazz tonez. 490 stuff isn't much better in that regard.
Plus Twins can get borderline piercing.
The Bare Knuckle stuff MEC linked is top notch but yeah, shit's pricey. I hate dropping a bunch of money on a guitar and then wishing it had different pickups but that may really be your best bet if you're going for the jazz thing with that particular LP...

if its got a burst in it, don't swap, they are probably the only pickup gibson makes that should be legally allowed to be played clean, maybe the classic '57s too. but the 490r.. *shudders*
Duncan jazz has never done me wrong bro

yeh, 490R and Burst Pro in bridge :/
too bright yo! the neck can kinda be dealt with, kinda, but I'd still much prefer something jazz'd up and on the cheap-ish lol
