Thanks for the compliments guys, hopefully soon i can get a pic of the full setup with the other 4x12 and 2x12 i've had for a while. I'm also going to try and get a video up of these with my 8 string (if it comes in by tuesday) next week.

What are the dimensions like on that 6x12?

I'm not positive i will measure it tomorrow but i believe that its 42" tall x 30" wide x 16" deep. Both are the same size and weight over 100 lbs each.

I was a little concerned about the placement as well, but these are 2 different cabs they did they best they could to not obstruct any of the speakers and i appreciate that. It also helps me differentiate the 2 at a quick glance which will help with setup and tear down at shows.

Yeah, I see why they did it and the only other option, besides going logoless, would be to mount it on the wood of the cab rather than the cloth. But that's a very minor complaint.

For fun I calculated the shipping costs at UPS based on the size/weight you posted; $1417,59 to get it across the Atlantic.

Ouch. Aren't they already pretty expensive?

I'm a stickler for symmetry myself, buy yeah, no other option on that particular setup. I'd get over it.

HOLY SHIT on that shipping price. If it's any condolence, I hear Emperor is in talks with some companies about offering international shipping at "reasonable" prices, we'll see how that pans out.

They're actually priced incredibly fair, especially when compared to other readily available cabs and taking into account the custom nature of Emperor's business. I picked up my first 2x12 for $450, my OS 2x12 and headshell for $550, and my original 4x12 for $700.

The Orange cabs they replaced, 2x12 and 4x12 were $699 and $899 respectively and they don't begin to compete with the Emperor's when ran side by side. So I sold both Orange cabs and flipped it into 3 Emperors and a custom headshell.

Those prices are very reasonable. If they can keep shipping below $300 per cab the total cost of cab, shipping and customs would allow them to compete with Orange cabs price wise in the EU market.

Yeah, the big cabs weigh quite a bit, all dem speakers!

The more standard stuff (2x12, 4x12, or Oversize versions) come in surprisingly light though, far lighter than my Orange stuff. It's surprising the first time you lug one of 'em around. Emperor uses an acoustic style design so they're not as thick as they appear. They literally resonate due to this as AA mentioned in another thread. Only cab I've owned that reacts this way, no doubt adds to the uniquely HUGE sound and clarity they produce.

Shipping on standard stuff is $50-$70 here in the States. If you ever decide to go with one, I'd ship it your way, no problem. I may even be able pick it up to save a portion of shipping on one of my various work related Chicago trips depending on timing and such.

They had some early issues with Int'l shipping so they just said fuck it. Canada may not be excluded though, not quite sure on that...
