Play a billion fucking shows, don't be afraid to be the local band that plays last on a Wednesday night, always suggest to go to IHOP with a touring band afterwards, make a bandcamp, be a nice dude, remember everyone's name, show up early to shows, and eventually, EVENTUALLY, things start going your way. Took like two years for my band, but now we have friend's that can get us shows across the nation, friend's that talk about our stuff to people who give a shit, and most of all, friend's who dig our stuff.

And now we're breaking up. SO, uhhh, also, don't hate each other.

^ He knows what's up

Word. don't be pretentious douchebags. Talk to other bands, even if they aren't huge or whatever, we've had a number of people come to our shows because they were friends with another band that we played with earlier, and thought we were cool so hung out.

Be nice, don't be too outspoken (hard for me cuz I'm an opinionated asshole) and a lot of the time on other forums, I have heard that "you need to create a god like appearance because if you are too easy to access you won't be a rock star and people won't like you", I call bullshit. Talk to fans, hang out before and after shows to some point with fans or people.
