there was an interesting concept of a V shaped neck pocket. it only needed 2 screws on the bottom and it was a perfect fit with the neck (that was made to fit the pocket obv.).
don't remember were I found that tho.

because Rickenbacker stopped making them back in the early 80's, and they pretend like there isn't a demand for them. The owner said there are no plans to reissue, either.

Alright... I agree with you on the moog guitar, I think the fly is in terms of construction, but I hate the bridge because [at least when they first came out] you can't bend and divebomb at the same time or the string would pop off the bearings...

Yep... funny... I know Jimmy Page used what it got it's idea from on the Coverdale Page thing which I remember cuz it was the in the First Guitar World I ever bought [yes I use to read guitar world ]

They go pretty reasonable, there are 2 models the 480 and 481. 480 has singles, straight frets, no binding, and the 481 has humbuckers, slant frets, and binding. neither had ric-o-sound. They can be had usually well under 1500. sometimes under 1000$...I bought mine in high school from a teacher for around 300$!
