I forgot about the Hold 2. I just got a Freeze and I'm in love with it, but I'm using it pretty much always in latch mode, which the Hold 2 lacks.
On paper, Hold 2 seems like what I wanted EHX to build, which would be a Freeze/POG combo called "THE FROG" (or I suppose, "The FOG") for FReeze Octave Generator, the idea being to freeze a bass note instead of the actual note. My Behringer BSY 600 does this kinda, but I hate the footswitch action and you have to hold it down. I'm not one to hate on Behringer products but the footswitches on the stomp boxes really do suck A LOT.
