I recently got the Elements and I feel that output of my MM Bongo is too much for it. It's too fuzzy and compressed. I don't know if it's supposed to be like that or if I do something wrong.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for picking up an Elements!

I don't know what a MM Bongo is... and I don't know if you're doing anything wrong (I doubt you are)... I mean, it's a distortion pedal, it sounds fuzzy and compressed by definition.

That would rule, Jeff, thanks!

MM Bongo is this
http://www.music-man.com/instruments/ba ... ngo-5.html

After another day playing with knobs I think I found my sound. I still think that 18V preamp in Bongo makes signal too hot for the Elements but low-cut toggle switch helps and than I use mix knob to add low end. I dialed awesome modern hi-gain distortion and despite it took some time to figure this pedal out it's the best distortion I've tried.

Ah so that's 18V hey! That's powerful! Howsabout this... have you tried your Elements at 18V? That could help it handle that beefy input. Do you find that bass to be too much for many pedals? I need to get one for testing pedals with, the ultimate pedal pushing input!

Really glad to hear you're liking the pedal, thanks again!

yeah, I run Elements with 18V.
I had same problem with Musket and Iron Ether QF2. I have distortion pedal theSyle Umiom which has impedance knob and its the only distortion pedal so far that can handle my active beast.

I'll do an elements on bass demo soonish. I've got one coming in. Typically a distortion with a mix control (like the elements will work well with bass). So its a safe bet my man!

This needs to be a finish at some point... just saying. SO many of us pedal geeks are nerds as well!

Heck yeah, voojo! Come for the guitar pedals, but stay for the hip hop.

I agree dudes, a periodic table finish would be totally awesome and I hope we'll do one, it would fit the theme perfectly.

I just got The Elements in trade and it is fucking awesome! I think I need two of these. Not even kidding. I could see totally using one setting on there and just keeping it on all the time. The setting I discovered (which I'll have to take a pic) sounds very similar to the Darkglass BK3. Great tone.

This thing is SUPER versatile. So happy about getting one. Awesome pedal here Ryan!
