Here's what I'd like to see in this delay:

Naked girl on the pedal, breasts obscured by the knobs. Brunette preferably. Not like obscene. Like an arty shot, hopefully with somemountains in the background.

600,000 ms delay time but only with one chip

Runs from anywhere from 16-37 volts.

Reverse tap tempo

Sovtek tubes in the clipping diodes

Reverse sag knob.

Titanium transistors

In place of a battery, there's a little section where you can hide drugs or money

Germanium enclosure

5 stereo outs

Also I'd like the special edition to have Sookie Stackhouse from popular TV series Twilight on the inside of the pedal, each image hand painted and signed by Anna Paquin.

Damn, that's a bunch of ruckus. Minimize.

-Self-oscillation foot switch
-tap tempo...maybe
-LFO for speed of delay...maybe an extension: switch for speed to switch between a sweep matched to a beat-sub or just gradually...meh
-CV for LFO
-bit crushing function in the repeats
-LFO with waveform select for speed

Basically an analog delay that has an lfo for delay speed. I think the modulation delay is a pretty full market, new things seem to be your policy.

Not another SuperDelay, El Capistan or Timeline... they already exists.

Maybe something with a selector for different kind of repeats (percussive "beat", lo-fi bit-crusher, normal, lfo, maybe flange or phase for martian repeats, kid toy...).
Keep it simple... 3 knobs for the delay section (level, time, repeat)... a tone knob for the repeat, a rotary switch to choose repeat type and two knobs to adjust those type of repeats (depth and speed), a mix knob for the repeat (clean + effect)... and a switch for self oscillation.

But that's just me... other idea are welcome (since we are only discussing here). :)

You need to save this little gem for the ss/bs delay, pretty unique feature!

well, syl, i don't mean to devalue what you want, but what you're talking about really is a delay that's great for sitting on the floor in your studio or room and making cool noises with. that's a great thing, but maybe twenty-five people in the world need something like that enough to spend Fairfield bucks on one, so i don't think it's a goer as far as being a profitable venture.

when i think about it, the places where a FC delay has the potential to really stand out are the kind of crossover EQ schemes used in FC fuzz and the potential of the multiple-waveform LFO. expression-pedal control of the LFO in addition to CV would really give a multiplicity of uses. on consideration i think that bit-crushing and other kinds of extreme repeat processing are redundant because they can be provided by other external processors and including these functions would only drive up the price of the delay. there are an awful lot of delays on the market already that do crunched-up tape sounds, lo-fi, and regular old chorus-type modulation; including these features might be prudent if you want to match the field, but it's not going to make you stand out.

No problem... I don't think you where trying to devaluate my comments.

I also can't wait to see what SS/BS will create... I'm 100% sure Guillaume and Brian would come with something that dosen't already exists (if Guillaume decide to build a Delay... :idk: ).
Both builder have interesting idea and I trust them 100% to create cool effects. I might have to get both FC and SS/BS if they create a delay.
