I'm just gonna hold out for the Timeline. This thing is really tempting though. That discount is the clincher.

At this rate, I will end up with a board full of delays.

Looks pretty rad, to be sure..... I don't need two variants of the 616 on my board, however!!

not to be an anti-boner, but the 616 wasn't exactly what i'd expected. yeah, it's fucking cool, but it's easily the most treble-heavy delay i've ever come across.
it's awesome if you're into noise (and a lot of you definitely are) and it's awesome if you're into slapbacky, modulated delay. but as far as using it as a typical delay goes, not really my cup of tea.
the lo-fi 616 appears pretty fucking awesome. pgs sold me on the 616 when they played a fucking elliott smith song on the demo... clever fuckers.
but if you're looking for a deep enveloping delay, or even a mellow, good-for-live-mixes delay, i'd probably recommend something else. probably something from strymon. i'm running the capistan at the moment and it's actually perfect for both live applications and recording applications if you're patient with a little knob twiddling (and a lot of you definitely are.)
but i don't have the lo-fi 616. so i don't know how it sounds. honestly, i'd love to try it. malekko makes great shit (even if they are reluctant to fix it) and this pedal seems to be no exception.

^^^ Strymon's mad expensive, though.

this pedal is so win. I want one real bad. I have to decide whether or not I want to sell the DL4 though... I still have my Carbon Copy for standard delay sounds, this would just be for awesomesauce noise sex.

Fuck. Why did I have to click this thread? Son of a bitch. Those ring modulated sounds have me feeling the pump.
