yeah my sunn cab smelled like a bar when i got it. the solarus head i had for a bit was full of these thick cobwebs. i guess it gives then their.. tone?

I find that burning cobwebs really help bring out the fragile upper harmonics as well as accentuate the low upper mids in my klon while still holding the character of my John, Clapton, King HHSH 70's vintage reissue custom shop master-built relic stratocaster.

On the other hand if you got this amp would you even ever turn it on? I think the Smithsonian should purchase it so it doesn't end up in some rich dudes basement.

If electricity has never been pumped through it for any decent amount of time I would wager that the caps and everything are probably just fine. Just my guess though.

resistors and caps of that age will drift in value, so it's not going to sound like it did the day it was built, but things will probably be within tolerances with eachother. Not gonna blow up, in my opinion.
