Yeah, just missed a Gnarly for $110 on TGP. Damn. Thinking about a Creepy Fingers Harakiri or Fuzznugget, anyone have experience with these? I know there are cheaper options, I just find CF stuff alluring for whatever reason.

I've a Maestro FZ-1A clone by Vectra, a SkinPimp Buzz Around and I'm the process of getting a Fuzzrite clone from a good builder here in Italy.

The Maestro clone is the best for nailing that mid-'60s gnarling and snappy fuzz tone. The Fuzzrite is a "Stooges-in-a-box" fuzz pedal. The Buzz Around is similar to a 3-knob ToneBender but with its own aggressive and acid character (famously used by Robert Fripp in the early '70s).

Yah, the Creepy pedals are great - quality all over. The fuzz nugget is a clone of the FZ1-a, with the added 3 position tone switch. So you can get the uber trashy spit and snarl, but also a deeper and bassier version as well as a more focussed mid-heavy version of the sound. I owned a Vectra clone FZ1-A but sold it as the Creepy owned it. The Vectra still sounded good, but side by side it was a different animal to the nugget - it didnt seem to have the same spittyness to it. Theres a reason the Creepies dont come up for resale that often - they are too good to sell!

Good thread... definitely one of the neglected/less-discussed areas of fuzzdom.

I know this isn't on the "Buy/Sell/Trade" page, but I do have an Ashbass FUZZBRITE (copy of the FuzzRite) for sale at the moment. Good condition/velcro on back. Asking $80.

I have FZ-1A that Brad repaired for me, and added the Fuzz Nugget alternate output cap switch. Sounds wicked.

He also does a killer Ge Fuzzrite clone called the Fuzz Fight.

No kidding on the Creepy Fingers staying put and going fast when they're on the block. I missed a used Creepy Fingers Kay Fuzz by a couple hours. Looked like a really sick 60's fuzz in a wah enclosure...

Really hating my delinquent ebay buyer ATM. Merkin, Bosstone, Ashbass, got an idea for a Fuzzrite in a wah I bet Aaron/StupidDream88 could build me... Bah!

I like the way the thread's going with the lists... But this thread is really making me wish I'd have hunted more fuzz pedals up in the 80's-90's.

Where do the Kay fuzz and Brassmaster fit on this list of rawness? I love that silicon B:Assmaster sound.

Its a deal Add ShinEi fuzz wah, from my expirience, it sounds different from superfuzz, and I love to add few occasional cocked fuzz sounds with Jazz/Jag pup volume on 8 + a clean/ish tube amp
