A decent-or-better computer surge protector is the way to go, IMO. And since Monster's already been mentioned (and I agree that Monster's marketing is bullshit most of the time), if you can find one of these, buy it. It works just like they say it does.

I've never really paid attention to the cost of those, since the three that I have were given to me...when I was living up there, I had a client who worked for Monster, and he helped me set up a home theater system. He just said "Here...use these." I think that model is now out of production, tho.

Thanks. Im checking around for electrical oddities. All amps were on surge protected strips and the Ampeg seemed to recover. Would turning off and then turning back on the circuit breaker before practice just for safety?
