Dude, how much money is the average marriage license? Multiply that by the number of gay people who'd get married right away, not to mention in the future *BOOM* Revenue!

We do the same thing with weed. Legalize it let an industry grow around it and tax the shit out of it. It'll be cheaper for better product and the gov't would get money from it rather than spend money fighting it.

Not just the marriage license, think about all the fabulous weddings ... how much cash is that many rooms full of flamingoes and parachuting Cher impersonators, not to mention bridesmaids/misters' designer bumless gladiator dresses, going to bring in?
Then there's the divorce revenue.
The whole thing would pull the world's economy out of the toilet.

F'real. Think about how many small businesses/entrepeneurs are involved in a wedding. Wardrobing, the venue, catering, photographer, the cake. That's all money right thurr.

I really think the people who are opposed don't want gay people getting married because of the legal benefits you get.
