mouser has vishay bat42TR for $0.11 10ma 30v
and bat42 STmicro bat42 for $0.54 200ma 30v

is the 10ma diode safe to use? I'm not exactly sure how to use Ohms law here.

Yeah, it's safe. They'd be safe for pedal use as well.

You can basically use any schottky, though. I keep BAT42 and 1N6263s around just because I know their forward voltages and they're different colours.

Also, the 1N34A germaniums at Circuit Specialists are pretty low in forward voltage. I just stopped using germanium because they take up more board space and they're inconsistent.

yeah I was think pedals and 9v 10ma?. you answered my question. while were on the topic of diodes, mouser has 1n4148 for $0.01 or $0.008 in bulk on sale end of life.
