I think he has his fingers in 3 or 4 pies right now. He's been doing a solo project for a couple years, and he has a duo with Betty Barnes called Mighty Clouds, and I think he still plays guitar in World Atlas.

Nice! Sounds good to me. Thanks for the Fred Thomas intel, FS. Need to get caught up on the Betty Marie Barnes stuff for sure. I think I have all of the solo stuff, give or take. Love that guy.

Seriously, if you've never really sat down and listened to the band Sweet. Go get Desolation Boulevard and listen to the whole thing. Great early UK glam rock.

Ha. You guys know Fred Thomas? I didn't know his shit reached THAT far. We're his contemporaries/rivals (in good-natured FUN) here in Ann Arbor... Starling Electric played with SLGTM a few times back in THE DAY. Hot shows. Not so sure about City Centre now that my super-pal Ry Guy has moved way way far away... big TBT fan and we love him. You want some hot shit? Have a listen to Drunken Barn Dance, the other band Ryan plays drums for. Another sweet bunch of dudes... PumpkinPieces was at our show with them in GR... not sure if he stuck around, but he can probably vouch.

And speaking of power pop and PumpkinPieces and TONIGHT:

Nice! I grew up just outside of Ann Arbor (in Brighton) and have known Fred for a long long time. He's a great dude.
