for me, the appeal is being able to step on/hit the left-hand button and make it do the King Tubby rhythmic dub feedback thing on demand. that'd be a lovely thing to throw into a 'gaze track, space jam, or extended GD-like improvisation. but it's not $375 worth of appealing, MON.

Lunar Echo does this, sounds much better imo and is $75 dollars cheaper

i dunno, to me the Lunar Echo kills the tone of the guitar on the demos i've watched and also has an artificial sparkly quality in the high end i don't like.

seems like analog delays with good chips are becoming mad expensive nowadays. you DIY cats better grab 'em while you can find them.

Considering I paid their asking price for a RE-150 a few months back, I can't really justify paying that for a pedal.

And I have an analog delay with a warp/oscillation switch that I had built with two other effects included for far less than the 4096 as well.

I suppose I'm not that impressed with bang for the buck or overall sound; if I want dark and grainy, I can always pull out a 12 bit 80s rackmount that sounds damn similar and cost $50.

Apologies for the zombie thread resurrection, but...

Does any other delay pedal do the thing the 4096 does where it can put out a wet signal to an aux/second output, even when bypassed? It's been a couple years since I owned one of these, but I recall that being a neat feature, which I might want to use in my current band. However, I'm not certain I want to shell out again for one of these.

I know there might be other ways to accomplish this, but any that I can think of require more gear than just one pedal, and I would like to achieve it with minimal gear.
