Yeah that setting rules!

Sylnau I've been using it with my fuck od. Soooo good. I'll try to record a demo with the Cosmichorus and Elements when I get the Elements tourbox.

There is a lot of knobs and switchs on the Elements... hope you won't have too much problem with only one arm. ;)

Also does any one elses when the arrow is completely at the three aliens (full vibrato) overdrive the pedal so it distorts (its not my amp cause Ive tried 3 so far and its done it on all three of them)? I have to turn the volume way down past unity gain to eliminate it.

Hey Greg, I'm sorry to hear you're still having probs with your CC... I do think it was properly adjusted and sounding totally normal but there's a few things we can go over to make sure...

First, I'm not sure what you mean by the pedal sounds like it's skipping when you turn the clock knob.. it's normal for the delay time to track while you turn the knob, is that what you're referring to? Maybe you're on too intense of a clock setting to get the vibrato sound you want.. start with the bottom toggle switch in the middle position and with the clock knob around noon for a nice vibrato sound.

As for the clipping, if you read through this forum you'll find several threads talking about the headroom of the CC and basically, some people find it totally fine and some people find it totally unacceptable. What kind of guitar/pickups are you using? Are you feeding anything into the CC that is boosting the signal? Are you running the CC off a battery that might be below 9V? (less voltage = less headroom)

When you say the pedal has to be turned down below unity, you don't mean turned down below 50% on the knob, right? Cause that's not unity, the wet signal is louder than the bypassed signal. Where do you have the pedal's volume knob and when you turn it down are you fairly comparing the unity gain of your bypassed signal to the pedal's signal level?

Finally, there's a trimpot inside the box that biases the delay line for the maximum headroom... as a last resort, you could pick off my dab of hot glue from the trimpot and twiddle it a little yourself and see if you can make the signal cleaner than how I set it. It would be a very fine adjustment around where it's already set, just a hair or two in either direction could improve it, or make it worse.

Barring all that, headroom is definitely a limitation of the CC. I have to pick gently with EMGs or hot humbuckers. I don't think it's a limitation of the CC, I can clip a ton of pedals with EMGs or humbuckers, but for some people and their playing style it means a CC might just not work out that well for them.

I second that... it will never leave my board.

The demo will feature me slapping my tele with my nub.

It'll just be a little iPhone mic demo so the sound quality won't be great. But the Elements and Cosmichorus will probably make up for it with raw toaannn

Indeed it is. My cosmichorus has been set up similar to that setting since I first tried it.
