Their parents are having a small music fest at their house for their kids band. my band is planning on getting them to let us play then just annoy all of the parents and douche bags with a never ending noise/feedback song.

:oldrant: spoiled rotten brats with really good instruments blah blah blah-blah blah blah-blaaaaaah blah-blah blah blah blah and sour grapes.

Not everybody has to start from the bottom level finance, with an acoustic guitar for bass and paying half of his first amp by returning empty bottles to shop. Some are born having Bob for uncle and it can seem to make things for them easier. It's not their fault either, if they don't turn themselves into bastards - with the inevitable repercussions when playing the underground clubs later. I've witnessed that, too, so get over with it, Nieh, go see Your GF or go see Your band mates and write music, or what ever it is that makes You feel better. But don't You start getting sour over it, that's just not good for You.

The spoiled brats can have other kinds of hardships on their musical career, like the lack of motivation and healthy competitiveness that turns into rehearsal frenzy and sleeping with ones guitar, if they haven't had the actual NEED to really put them selves in it, to earn the stuff. That can turn their musical endeavors into big waste of time and dad's money.

And sure they all kinda suck. And as a band it's pretty bad altogether, especially the bass player but who knows, perhaps they start practicing really hard and learn to play. Perhaps even rock. That wouldn't hurt anybody so let's just hope so. Before they do, I don't know if those instruments and the pay-to-play shit will help them not sounding like a shit. So remember to wish them good luck, like a gentleman, then prove them they have a lot to learn :thumb:  , when You get on the same stage.

I would have LOVED to have Daddy-McWallet paying for my instruments. :whateva: My adolescent band mates were all pretty well equipped compared to me... AND they all were from not even half as wealthy background as I was - my parents simply decided that since heavy Metal is satanic they'd not be endorsing my playing. Then dad went bankrupt. Finland underwent severe economic depression in 1990–93 and a lot of business went down because of poor politics. Anyway. There I was and I was doing just FINE with it since I I wasn't depending on the folks so it didn't have any effect on me and what I was doing. Not that I was doing too well but at least my band had its own bank account and things rolled on their own. The best I can do is to treasure that I have learned a great deal of life doing it all by myself for myself in the tender age.

Yes this is kpop but my point remains the same.

I know what you are saying.. but I still stand by the fact that both acts that we posted rely on the "cuteness factor" and bunch of suburban teens such a OP sadly do not have this, they are normal boring midwestern'merica suburban snotnosed brats. I mean sure I sounded like that... when I was thirteen, both playing and singing  and was sequestered to a headphone amp for a year intill I could really play     :thumb:

Yep, pretty much this, to face the cruel truth.

The guys could have waited a bit before running head first to the U-tube and stuff... I mean, sure everybody is anctious in the teens. But if You choose to rush it to the meat grinder, from the beginning, it good to keep in mind that You actually have, in the teens, a lot of spare time if that really is what You want to do and if You really are in that kind of hurry.

But it certainly doesn't hurt to wait a bit to get the shit together.

I hate to say it but they aren't that bad. They all know the song, are playing it together, and their drummer can keep a beat. That alone qualifies as "not too bad." At any age.
